I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his grace, patience, and blessing on my life and Sophisticated Smiles. It has not always been an easy road, but the Lord has promised he will be with us every step of the way, and he surely has been with me and my family.
What was it like at the beginning compared to now?
when we started we converted a squatter house into a dental practice with no patients and one operatory as well as a staff of two. Beginning years were very tough trying to build a simple base of patients. Twenty years later we are open five days a week overflowing with existing and new patients with three fully equip operatories and a staff of 6. In the beginning stages, it was easy to keep up with treatment plans and billing, of course now it’s much more difficult finding the time because we are so busy.
What was your favorite moment from the last twenty years?
When I transitioned to full-time where I could pay all my attention to existing and new patients at Sophisticated Smiles (when I started the office I worked as an independent contractor at other offices to supplement my income).

People are attached to teeth. You aren’t just treating teeth; you’re treating people who have feelings and emotions and fears that have teeth. Relationships build trust and trust is very important in the dental office.

“If you think you can or can’t, you’re probably right.” Over twenty years I could not have built Sophisticated Smiles by myself. I have had wonderful coworkers who have dedicated their time and who have gone above and beyond to build Sophisticated Smiles to where it is today.
